Happy Hexagon Hunt — How to unlock winter's brightest stars and constellations with a single key. The night sky in winter is truly an amazing thing. Did you know that some of the brightest stars in our hemisphere all gather in our view of the sky in February? This class will highlight the most notable things to look for in the sky this month and give you the knowledge and tools to do so successfully. We’ll also discuss how to photograph the northern lights as we head into "aurora season" in March.

About the Instructor: Bob King has loved the stars since he was a kid and shares that love through teaching and writing. He lives in Duluth with his wife Linda and is recently retired from a career as a photojournalist and photo editor at the Duluth News Tribune.

His books "Night Sky with the Naked Eye" and "Wonders of the Night Sky" are available on Amazon and at area bookstores. His latest book, "Urban Legends from Space" will publish this fall. Bob has 31 years teaching community education astronomy for the Duluth School District and has taught previously at the Ely Folk School and North House Folk School.
